Apartments Strandhaus Seeblick

We had a few days of trouble with the hot water. It was fixed, though it remained a small downside during the holiday. The apartment was clean, functional, and well furnished, and the location was excellent.

The elevator from the underground garage takes luggage straight to the apartment, which is handy. But the parking spaces are so small that you need to watch which space is next to or above yours. Sometimes a car is too tall, leaving you unable to get out of the lower spot. The street outside is noisy, and there's no sea view. Apartment 13 is large and bright, but the worn condition was a letdown. The wooden floor has lots of holes and scratches, the sofa is old and uninviting, and even the doormats in the hallway were dirty and torn. The cleaning was poor, so we had to clean before settling in, and the supplied cleaning products weren't enough. For the price, the place should be in top condition. I expected much more. Never again.

The high ceilings are lovely, and at first glance the apartment looks modern. The location is great too. In my view, though, it needs more attention, and the duplex garage is extremely small.

The apartment's location near the beach was good, but we left early because the place didn't feel like a Baltic Sea holiday at all. It certainly wasn't a designer luxury apartment. The duplex parking space was too high for our standard family car, a VW Sharan over 1.65 meters tall, so on New Year's Eve we had to leave it on the street. We were five in apartment number 11, and the problems started at the entrance: the lights were broken, so we needed a phone flashlight. The heating wasn't on in the living room or bathrooms when we arrived, and with underfloor heating we spent our first evening freezing with three children. The cozy living room lamp didn't work, nor did one of the bedroom lights. The bench at the dining table was much too low, even for someone 1.80m tall. The hard chairs had no cushions and felt like cafeteria furniture, while the sofa barely fit four people. Glasses and cutlery were dirty. There was no chopping board or carving knife, only six regular knives, and just three juice glasses. The living room had only plain, very dirty curtains, with no drapes or blinds to close at night, so people outside could see in. The bedrooms had no TVs, blackout curtains, or mosquito nets, just a bare white wall in view from the bed. It's a shame more couldn't be done with this apartment.
