Fröbelhof

Breakfast was good and thoughtfully prepared, though lunch and dinner aren’t served. We didn’t try the swimming option at the neighboring clinic, where guests can apparently swim. The hotel sits a little outside town, and parking is right in front of the entrance. The Fröbelhof feels like stepping back in time, lavishly decorated and full of charm and character. It was once a pioneer of its time, and although it shows its age a little, the attention to detail is wonderful. Everything was spotless and tidy. The owner works here and the staff are exceptionally friendly and attentive, the kind of service you rarely find now. There’s also a large games room for all ages, plus billiards and foosball. If you want a special getaway, this is the place. Thanks again for a wonderful stay.

The hotel is beautifully located in the lovely spa town of Liebenstein. Breakfast was carefully prepared with something for everyone, and the place is designed with such attention to detail that it could host larger celebrations. The hostess is wonderfully friendly and attentive, and really looks after her guests. We’d gladly return!

The hotel is historic and beautifully situated, and we got a very friendly welcome. Our room was nice and spacious. The mattress felt a bit hard, but it was okay. The old tube TVs could do with being replaced, though that didn’t spoil the stay. I’d happily come back.

The Fröbel Museum on site is especially worth mentioning. Friedrich Fröbel is essentially the inventor of kindergartens and the training of kindergarten teachers. We visited with a small group during the Christmas season, when the whole hotel was tastefully decorated. The owner was a lovely hostess and went out of her way to accommodate everyone. It’s a beautiful boutique hotel, and the breakfast was excellent.
