The location is lovely and the staff were friendly, but the food quality seems very inconsistent. Our 2024 birthday celebration at the Landhotel Kristall in Bad Marienberg was excellent, with a varied and delicious buffet, so we were looking forward to returning in February 2025. This time, the Wiener Schnitzel cost over 20 euros and was extremely thin and dry, nowhere near what I'd expect at that price. The salad buffet seemed more like ready-made supermarket salads than fresh homemade dishes. Overall, the prices didn't match the food quality. A real pity after such a good first visit.

The setting in the countryside is lovely, and the staff are very attentive. It's a very basic hotel, but the rooms are clean, with an excellent shower in the bathroom. There's a small minibar in each room and a balcony facing the forest. They also serve an excellent lager.
