Galerie Hotel

We didn't try the breakfast, but everything else met or exceeded our expectations. The room had a lovely view and was exceptionally clean and well maintained. The location was quiet, convenient, and close to everything we needed, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. My family and I stayed one night at Galerie Hotel in Bad Reichenhall with our grown-up children and had a wonderful time. The main downside was the limited number of power outlets, which made charging phones and devices tricky for four people. I'd highly recommend it to families or anyone after a comfortable stay with nice scenery.

The room was spacious, clean, and nice, though the paintings on the wall hung crookedly. Parking was ridiculously expensive, but the location was perfect.

My wife and I arrived during the busiest part of the season, when every hotel was booked out, and found we had no room. We'd reserved rooms for 20 people and had corresponded extensively with the hotel for weeks beforehand. One of the rooms we'd booked was unavailable. Staff responded with a lot of attitude, saying it wasn't their problem because they had a new booking system. Mistakes happen, but what made this so upsetting was how staff ignored their error. We didn't make a scene. We tried to find a quiet solution so as not to disturb other guests who were also checking in. To this day, no one has shown any empathy or even said sorry. When the bill came, they charged us only what we owed for the other rooms we'd booked and left it at that. They messed up our room and left us on the street. A hotel has one job, and they didn't deliver. This was a disappointing experience, and I expect the hotel's leadership negligence will cause the same thing for other guests. I can't recommend the place, mainly because of the appalling treatment. As a bonus, they claimed my brother had booked his room twice and should pay for two rooms. Sure, because everyone always books a spare room just in case.

The hotel staff were welcoming, courteous, and attentive, but we were disappointed with the sagging mattress in our comfort double room. It's unfortunate for a four-star place to have a mattress that outdated. After sleeping on it for two days, my back started to ache.
