The Ochsenwirtzhof is one of my favourite hotels, and this was my fifth visit. It's traditional, welcoming, friendly, beautiful, and very well appointed. Add the excellent food and the spectacular building and setting, and it feels truly special. I first came in '99 as part of a car rally. It was easily the best hotel of that trip and a real highlight, though our itinerary didn't give us enough time there. I've returned on three later rallies, most recently with my partner in her car. There are some amazing, challenging roads nearby as well. When we talked about where to spend our 10th anniversary, an extended stay at the Ochsenwirtzhof was at the top of the list. It didn't disappoint. We had a wonderful time, and it was even better as a place to relax over several nights. The pool and sauna are lovely, the staff are amazing, and the rooms are very comfortable. We'll definitely be back.

The food is absolutely great, and the chef is wonderful. I love the swimming pool too. The hotel sits in the middle of beautiful nature, and the owner is so warm and friendly. We'll come back!

The setting is comfortable, though it could use some background music. My meal was entered incorrectly by the waitress, but the main dish I received was very good. The food was good overall, and we'll probably return once more.
