Our room was impeccable, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable. The bed gave me the best sleep I’ve had in years, and the pristine swimming pool added to the relaxing, luxurious feel. The best eggs benedict I’ve ever tried, superb service and staff, magnificent grounds, and beautifully appointed rooms. Everything here is done well. It’s elegant but relaxed, elevated yet approachable, and just an hour from Berlin. This place has found a special spot in my heart. A perfect antidote to stress, whether you stay one night or five. We came for a January weekend and loved swimming in the heated outdoor pool while it snowed. We’d been looking forward to warming up in the spa, and it stays open until 22:00, so there was plenty of time for a dip after dinner. The restaurant was great, which was handy since there aren’t many other dinner options in the area. Everything was fresh, and the kitchen was happy to handle our special requests. Best of all was the service. It’s a family owned and operated hotel, and everyone went above and beyond for us. There were lots of people on the team, and they seemed happy to be part of it. I loved watching them have their team lunch at the restaurant. Even with all the staff around, the atmosphere felt intimate, almost as if we were alone, which was lovely for a romantic getaway. This cosy, comfy, elegant hotel is in a beautiful village just an hour from Berlin. I can absolutely recommend it for a romantic stay.
