Friends Hotel Bad Salzuflen

The breakfast had a generous spread: sliced cold meats, cheese, scrambled eggs, marmalade, cereals, plus Mediterranean options like olives and goat cheese. There was toast, rolls, coffee, tea, and several kinds of juice. The staff were very friendly, and my room was tidy, with a balcony and a comfortable king-size bed. I stayed two nights on a short holiday with my girlfriend. The hotel is on a small, quiet road about 1 kilometre from the historic city centre, and has its own car park on the property. It was a really nice stay, and I’ll certainly come back.

The breakfast was good, and the bed was comfortable, which is why I’ve given the hotel two stars. The rest of the stay disappointed me. Furniture in our room was falling apart, there were no extra towels available, and it was hard to regulate the room temperature. Also, no staff were available after 10pm if an emergency came up.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, but breakfast was disappointing. The rooms were very basic, with no air conditioning, and the bathroom was small. We paid far too much for what we got. At that price, I expected a lot more.

The hotel and room were good and clean. Breakfast was especially good, and the reception staff were really nice and kind.
