Hotel Römerbad

I liked the spacious rooms, comfortable bed, pretty setting, and breakfast served with lots of choices. The pillows were a little too flat, though two for one person worked out fine. The thing I missed was an EV charger. I asked the security guy if I could plug into a wall outlet, and he said charging cars that way causes fires. I had to explain in detail how it works. He was also shocked that a girl would have a car like that, which made me think the Middle Ages were supposed to be over. I did manage to charge it, and suggested the owners install a Tesla charger :)

The room was very small, though it would be okay for a night or two on a business trip.

Free parking and a location near the city center were the main positives from my weekend here. The breakfast costs €16 per person, which feels extortionate when some things aren't even included. €10 would seem more suitable for such a simple hotel. I'm fine with basic places and don't expect much, but this one was completely unacceptable to me, and I won't return. The rooms felt old and dated, with dust, cracked tiles, and stains on the bedspread. The stairwell was much too dark and had a musty smell, probably from the old carpet. There wasn't much attention to detail either. It was an experience, but not one I'd repeat.

The staff were very friendly, and everything was perfect again on my second stay at Hotel Römerbad with my dog. We had room 27 this time. I'm already looking forward to coming back.
