We come from the UK each year to visit Bad Salzuflen with our German friends, and the Löwe Sylbach has usually given us superb service and excellent food. This time, the food was good, but the service fell well short of its usual standard. There were four of us, and each time we wanted to order we had to get the waiter's attention. After the main course we were left waiting too long, then had to call him over again for dessert and coffee. We waited a long time once more before we could get his attention to pay. There was no interaction with us, and after we paid, nobody was around to say goodbye. I'm just a little disappointed, since our annual visit to the Löwe is a special one.

In a quiet village near lemgo, this is a lovely hotel. The rooms were very comfortable and clean, and the restaurant was excellent. Highly recommended.

The restaurant is great, though there's no fridge in the rooms.
