Very welcoming staff and quick, friendly service. I found a bakery open on the way to the town center, just around the corner from the hotel, for breakfast. There was plenty of room to sit and enjoy it.

The food was amazing, really, really good, though expensive if it isn't included in your booking. Service was wonderful. The room was fine but small and forgettable; we didn't spend much time in it. My only wish is that it had been quieter. I hoped to escape the noises that keep us from sleeping in, but housekeeping woke us, then some random woman kept knocking at the door. There was also general cleaning noise, I think, and street traffic. Maybe we didn't get the best room. Still, otherwise it was nice, and both the food and service were fantastic.

We only ate at the restaurant and had the tasting menu, with an amazing menu overall. Even the younger children loved their kids' dishes, and the cocktail was perfect. The staff were gracious even though we didn't speak German. It's Michelin Rated and well worth the drive. Highly recommend the restaurant.

For about 25 km around, this seems to be the best hotel available. That says more about the lack of decent hotels in this rather underdeveloped part of Germany, though. The hotel itself was OK and met the standard I'd expect from a four-star place.

Those little details really make the elegance here. The service is discreet and lovely, breakfast uses first-class ingredients, and the attention to detail is meticulous. A beautiful experience.
