For a decent price, we got a semi-deluxe double room with a bathroom and kitchen in the room. The guest apartments were lovely, and service was quick and convenient. There’s free parking, laundry, and rooms for smokers and non-smokers. A brochure in the room explains the place’s history, rules, and useful information. The one downside showed up when we were leaving: after taking the duvet covers off, we noticed stains on the blankets. If you can, check everything when you arrive, as the house rules say.

I had a great vacation here, and would stay again. The flat is close to the city centre, ferry, and bus stops, with the tram to the national park just across the road. I liked the layout of our top-floor apartment. There’s no lift, and the bed I slept in was a bit uncomfortable. It has all the modern conveniences you’d expect, though some could use an upgrade.

The owner was friendly, and the apartment was set up perfectly in a great location. Mine smelled a little of the previous guests’ food, but otherwise the stay was wonderful and I’d return.

The renovated apartment has loads of character and is in an amazing location, with quick access to trails and trailheads. Make sure to check out their piano.
