Waldhotel Riesebusch

I’ve stayed here six times on work trips and expect to return. Waldhotel Riesebusch (Bad Schwartau) is clean and peaceful, and convenient when arriving in the country via Travemunde. The beds are comfortable and the rooms have what you need to rest. Breakfast is more than enough for me. The single-room bathrooms are a little old-fashioned, but have everything needed to freshen up and take care of other bathroom needs. I travel with a large car and trailer, and there’s a big gravel area beside the hotel where it’s easy to park.

Everything was well organized, and the hotel was thoughtfully designed and managed. The staff were welcoming and really nice. It was clean, and breakfast tasted very good. I highly recommend it.

The location is ideal, close to a forest, and breakfast was good. But the layout feels very old-fashioned and could use a refurbishment. Internet didn’t work above the ground floor, where it was fine. The single rooms are on the third floor. They said the problem was my device, though I tried three of them. The shower was covered in fungus, walls included.

The staff were really nice and professional, and it’s dog-friendly with good walking routes all around. A modern, clean hotel with a good restaurant.
