The half-board meals were the best part of our stay: good three-course dinners with a menu that changed daily, plus plenty of choices at breakfast. The lobby and hallways look nice, we had enough TV channels, and there was a bottle of water in the room. We also got daily vouchers for one pastry per person, though we had to ask for our welcome drink and the pastries on day two. By day three they had run out, and no one told us when they were served. The blonde waiter in the Cafe offered coffee or juice instead, and was the one person who really tried to make up for it. We booked through a discount site, so you can decide if that was our mistake. We were put in a side building rather than one of the main ones, apparently because those would cost more. Later we heard we might have been placed in the "landhaus" too, which looks like budget student housing from the outside. This review is about the side building on the main grounds where we stayed. Maybe I'm picking at everything because the stay got off to such a bad start. It was over 35 degrees Celsius and there was no air conditioning. The fan in the closet didn't work. When we complained, they couldn't find another working fan, and offered us the room below, which had neither air conditioning nor a fan. The room was also hard to reach with a wheelchair or suitcase: there was a flight of winding stairs. The front desk employee didn't mention the stairs or that the room entrance was outside, so we walked through the whole building for nothing. The ramp to reception also felt very steep for wheelchair access. Inside the room, the window frame paint was peeling, the shower was very cramped, and the toilet only flushed when the lid was down, perhaps because the button sat too low. There were no outlets near the bed, no kettle or coffee machine, and some lights didn't have their own switches. Guests sat on the grass very close to our room. We couldn't check in at the scheduled time and had to wait another hour. The employee said housekeeping was very busy and our room was at the far end, but they could have known that in advance. We weren't offered anything for the delay, not even a drink. The pool and number of loungers were too small for the busy hours. People claimed loungers in the morning and kept them all day, so there often wasn't a spot in the afternoon. Restaurant service was inconsistent. Some days we got a drinks menu and some days we didn't; ice cubes and dessert spoons were hit or miss too. The window screens were sometimes left open, and then wasps got inside. Parking was limited, so you might have to leave the car on the street a few minutes away. I will not come back.

The spa had a lovely range of saunas and places to rest. On the weekend it was a bit crowded, and some guests didn't seem very mindful that others were there too. At the afternoon coffee break, service at the bar was inattentive and the staff had an attitude when we tried to order. We could hear them arguing with each other as well. It was our first visit. I might try a weekday, but this wasn't the relaxing break we'd hoped for.

We went as a family of four, with our boys aged nine and five, and they had a great time too. Bollants Spa im Park was so relaxing, from the pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, and relaxation room to the calm atmosphere from the moment we arrived. The staff greeted us warmly and took care with the details. We left feeling pampered and refreshed, and would recommend it to anyone looking to unwind and take care of themselves.

Our little lodge had a whirlpool under the patio, and using it at sunset was lovely. The property sits among vineyards, and Bollant's local wine selection was satisfying. We spent three days there and found the whole stay rewarding, with clean facilities, professional service, a good range of spa treatments, and enjoyable food. The massage was rushed, though. It was scheduled for 25 minutes, but the actual massage lasted only nine, not really long enough to start relaxing. Restaurant staff seemed overwhelmed at times and could have been better organized and supervised. Still, they were very kind and did their best to make us feel welcome, and we had a pleasant stay.

I've been to the hotel several times as a day guest. The garden is lovely and the surroundings are beautiful, and I enjoy cooling off in the pool. After a full or half day there, I feel relaxed. The staff are friendly and helpful when you need something.
