Residence Inn by Marriott Munich City East

That free coffee and water machine in the lobby was a thoughtful touch, and the location worked really well for us, just a 5-7 minute walk from Ostbahnhof. I work in hospitality as an F&B manager at a 5-star resort in Greece, and I came away with a positive impression. Breakfast was plentiful, the room was warm and comfortable for our family of three, and the hotel was very clean. Restaurant and front desk staff were polite and professional. One small thing, the shower pressure and temperature could be better, and housekeeping could take a little more care vacuuming and mopping. Keep up the good work. 👏👏👏

We had a great five-night family stay and would gladly come back. The location made getting around easy, with tram and bus stops and supermarkets nearby. Our room was quiet, spotless, and comfortable, with a kitchenette, microwave, small refrigerator, and dishwasher that were handy for us. Breakfast had lots of variety and was high quality. The hotel is very well maintained, and the staff were kind and welcoming.

After our stay was over, 800 dirhams were deducted from us today, with no clear explanation. That came on top of a very poor experience. An American woman at reception was unpleasant and unprofessional, and the security deposits charged for our identical rooms varied from 350 to 500 euros. That was unacceptable. Service from the staff overall was poor, and housekeeping was careless and rushed, with no attention to detail. We spend a lot on our vacation and still felt disrespected. I hope management investigates, supervises the front desk more closely, and holds staff accountable so this doesn't happen to other guests. Guests should be treated respectfully. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Breakfast was the one bright spot, it was really good. The room cleaning was only so-so, and this didn't feel right for a four-star hotel. The hotel is a long way from the city center. We also waited outside for ages because reception was closed, even though we rang the bell as the door instructions said. They held a 30 euro deposit and said it would be returned after two days, but we weren't told why.
