Westend Hotel

We moved to another hotel after the staff refused to refund us, clean the room, or extend our stay. The room wasn’t clean, and dust on the wall caused me problems during the night, so I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone with allergies. I’m sorry it ended this way, but they won’t accept that they made a mistake.

I booked a room with a double Bett and breakfast, but the staff gave me the wrong room without breakfast, without checking my reservation. I showed the details on Booking.com, where I had booked. Even then, she wouldn’t check the hotel system. She kept saying that Booking.com had passed the order to Expedia.de, which passed it to the hotel, and that I should email Booking.com because the hotel took no responsibility. After I asked several times for her to check again, she found the reservation under my name and gave me the right room. But she clearly said there was another guest with a similar name and laughed at me, as if my name were the problem. I felt it could be RACISM. Of course, there was NO APOLOGY. If someone who couldn’t speak English or German had been in this situation with her, it could have been worse. People make mistakes, but how they correct them shows what kind of society they are and who they are.

They even kept my luggage for five hours at no extra charge, and on the second day they offered me breakfast for free. The breakfast was delicious, which you don’t find at every hotel. The rooms were warm, comfortable, and very clean, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. On my first day, noise was a problem because the walls are so thin that you can hear everything, even someone walking two floors above. I’m not joking. They moved me to a top-floor room the next day. That’s how professionals handle things, and they have my deepest respect. If I’m in Munich again, I’ll definitely return, but I’ll ask for the top floor.

The staff were very nice, the service was good, and breakfast was nice too. Things felt uncomplicated and easygoing. The room was unfortunately too hot, with no air conditioning. I couldn’t leave the window open because of a sort of noisy vitiated airpipe in the back court. The decoration was cool, especially in the breakfast room and lounge by the counter.
