Werksviertel is such a lively, creative neighborhood, with food, art, music, and culture right outside. The location was a real bonus, and the hostel fits naturally into the area. Inside, the bright, spacious common rooms are clean and full of character. It’s easy to have a drink, meet people, or just take in the view; the bar has a nice evening feel, and the shared kitchen is spotless and well equipped. The staff made the stay feel personal. Everyone I spoke with was friendly, patient, and glad to help, whether answering city questions, suggesting places to eat, or greeting me after a long travel day. The whole place has a warm, welcoming atmosphere, with modern style and a relaxed social feel. My room was comfortable and looked after, with individual outlets, storage, and secure lockers. The beds were surprisingly cozy, and the cleanliness throughout really stood out. Wombat’s Hostel Werksviertel felt like home while still having that fun travel energy. I’d absolutely stay again and recommend it to solo travelers, friends, or couples looking for an affordable, welcoming place.

This is my favorite place to stay in Munich. The connection to local and regional buses and trains is excellent, and Werksviertel is always buzzing. Reception are friendly and helpful whether it’s 11 a.m. or 11 p.m., always greeting you with a smile. The common area, kitchen, and rooms are clean and well maintained. If anything’s wrong, you can tell them and the maintenance crew handles it right away. For Munich, it’s affordable, and you get more than your money’s worth.
