Good value, and I left happy. The room was basic and a bit worn, but clean, with a comfortable bed. The shower pressure was perfect, and the staff were very helpful.

The woman on staff, who may have been the owner, was very kind and looked after us well. My wife and I spent two nights here, and it was a wonderful stay that exceeded what we expected. The room was more than adequate for us, and the facilities had a traditional feel. We’d definitely stay here again if we return to Munich.

We stopped in for dinner and found a hidden gem, with tree-lined streets, lovely music, fantastic food, and great service. We’ll definitely stay here next time we’re in Munich!

The location is easy to reach from the train station, the piano player was good, and breakfast had a decent selection. The other staff were fine, though they didn’t seem very happy to be there. But after my first night I woke up with back pain, so when I got back from exploring around 16:00, I asked the person at the bar for a second pillow. Other staff later identified him as the owner. I didn’t mention the pain, but he seemed incredulous and said I’d get one sometime in the evening unless I was going to bed right then. When I said sooner would be better, he snapped that he’d “just got in 30 seconds ago” and that I’d get it later. The pillow never came. He ignored me when I passed through the bar afterward. Given his reaction and other comments about staff entering rooms without notice, I put my luggage in front of the door to keep unwanted visitors out. If he was the owner, he should consider letting someone else handle housekeeping requests.
