We had a really good time here with friends, and the food was delicious and well priced. The restaurant owner is kind, too. The garden is perfect, with a wonderful view. Such a peaceful, heavenly place. We recommend it to everyone!

Nice little café and beer garden beside the Werra River, with tasty blueberry cake and New York cheesecake. Just be aware, they only take cash.

I especially liked that there were both sunny tables and shady spots, which made it a nice place to linger on a warm day. The garden looks out over the Werra River, with lots of greenery, cozy seating, and lovely lighting on the half-timbered buildings. It’s a peaceful stop after a walk or bike ride, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Drinks came quickly and service ran smoothly. The food is simple, traditional beer garden fare and tapas, and the prices are very good for what you get. It’s a relaxed, welcoming place in Bad Sooden-Allendorf, and I’ll be back.

The garden is lovely, but an hour’s wait for coffee and a piece of cake is a bit much. A lot of guests had already left.

They’d run out of tapas, but still made some for us in the kitchen. Everyone did it with a smile and such good cheer. The staff were attentive and very friendly, everything was just right, and I’d happily come back anytime.
