Landhaus Am Bergwald

We had a really nice long weekend at the end of February and felt it was good value, especially with the excellent breakfast, friendly service, and cleanliness. The guesthouse is near the city center, and our spacious, very clean room had a balcony and a beautiful view. The bathroom was small and the furnishings a little dated, but everything was functional. The junior manager welcomed us warmly, and the next morning the senior manager was very friendly too. He showed us the buffet and pointed out our table. We'd definitely recommend it. The owner was very attentive, making sure the breakfast spread stayed stocked and offering ideas for activities and hikes while we ate. Breakfast was especially lovely, carefully laid out and with everything you could want. Everything was spotlessly clean, and we felt very comfortable. The rooms are nice and practical, though updated bathrooms and windows would make them perfect.

I paid €34 for a single room with breakfast, and thought it was a lovely hotel. The staff were friendly and the service fantastic. The room had everything I could want, though I wasn't keen on the shower. Mine faced the forest, while some other rooms have a better view of Lake Tegernsee. Breakfast was small but delicious, and in the evening it was nice to relax in the breakfast room. I highly recommend it.

We had a short family break at the Landhaus am Bergwald last weekend and felt right at home. Mr. Dürbeck deserves another heartfelt thank you for the excellent service all around. The rooms are very well maintained, though a little dated. The view of Lake Tegernsee was magnificent, and the breakfast buffet was plentiful and delicious.
