We had excellent support both before and during our stay with our two children. The apartments are superbly equipped and spotless, in a prime spot right beside the Elbe River. From the veranda, you can look straight out over the water. Highly recommended.

The view changes with the light throughout the day, giving each apartment its own feel. You can look out to the Bastei, the Elbe River, or the Lilienstein, all in a wonderful atmosphere.

November feels wonderfully quiet here. The area is winding down, and the hiking paths are almost all to yourself, surrounded by autumn’s bright colors. You can sit along the stone wall behind the house, which must be a nice break from the summer heat. Breakfast and coming back home both come with the best view, right in front of you. We spent nearly a week in this fantastic apartment and slept better than we can remember, in complete quiet except for the gentle sound of the Elbe River. Even the trains passing on the far bank have a certain charm. Highly recommended!

You can start a walk right from the front door, and the apartments have everything you need. They’re clean and comfortable, with windows and a terrace looking directly onto the Elbe River, less than 100 meters away. For loading or unloading, you can pull up in front of the house. The parking lot is on the edge of Rathen, an easy 5-10 minute walk away. We’d love to return.
