Schnitzer

The food was just average, and the rooms feel dated. The hotel could use some maintenance.

Really great service.

We especially loved how welcome our dog was here. Dogs aren't merely permitted, they’re treated like guests, and Lake Tegernsee is only a short walk away. Our room was comfortable, clean, and lovely, and the whole stay felt very well cared for. The host family were warm and attentive from the start. Breakfast had a broad, fresh selection. Each afternoon there was a little sweet or savory snack, and dinner was a delicious four-course meal with a starter, soup, a choice of three mains, and dessert. For us, Schnitzer’s Dahoam was a perfect stay. We’d happily return and recommend it wholeheartedly. ❤️ Thank you for such a wonderful time, simply TOP! 😊

Being able to bring our dog everywhere made this stay especially lovely. A blanket, basket, bowls, and welcome treats were already in the room, there was a separate fridge for dog food, and the restaurant always had water for him. The dog park was a hit, too. We also booked a massage for ourselves and a physiotherapy massage for our dog, both excellent. The staff were consistently friendly and accommodating, with helpful ideas for outings and a real effort to make the visit special. We enjoyed a gala evening with live music and a great barbecue, and there are new activities suggested each day, so check the weekly schedule. The food was fantastic and the rooms spotless. The lake and charming town center are just steps away, and we often walked along the promenade. Back at the hotel it was peaceful, with very little traffic noise. We felt at home, had a wonderfully relaxing time, and will definitely return. :)
