Breakfast was adequate, though the welcome and breakfast service felt rather impersonal. The room furniture was a little dated and the bathroom quite small. The house itself is a beautiful old half-timbered building in a central spot, close to town and ideal for exploring Bad Windsheim.

It's a relatively inexpensive guesthouse and works well enough for a short break. The old town and open-air museum are both easy to reach on foot. The building is a lovely historic half-timbered house, and the rooms and breakfast were fine. Don't expect scrambled eggs, though. When I asked, I was told they don't offer them. Rye or grain rolls were only there if you arrived right at 8:00 a.m., and they weren't replenished. For dinner, the "Goldener Schwan" inn was a good recommendation, with tasty food and very friendly, attentive service.

The breakfast was varied and tasty, apart from the coffee, which didn't meet our expectations. We were here for a short Easter break that was also a family reunion, and came away with mixed feelings. The hostess was quite domineering and used the garden for her own family, which made us feel unwelcome.
