Hotel am Sophienpark

Right in the center of town, this is a lovely small and intimate hotel. Our room was large, comfortable, and outstanding, with a great bathroom. Breakfast was good, and the service was friendly and helpful. Thanks, we’ll be back.

The staff were the real highlight. Everyone we met greeted us with a smile and was ready to help, from arrival to departure. I’ve never had a better experience. We asked for a baby crib for our daughter and they also provided baby toiletries, a thoughtful detail that really set the place apart. We stayed four nights while the big hotel was under renovations, so it had moved to a smaller house. We didn’t get the park-view room we wanted, but ended up with an even better one. It was huge, like a small apartment, and newly renovated throughout. The central location was convenient. Breakfast wasn’t huge, but it was fresh, with breads, cheeses, sausages, and vegetables, plenty to fuel our forest hikes. I’d definitely recommend the hotel and hope to come back as soon as I can.

The location was perfect for exploring Baden Baden, and the rooms were beautiful and spacious. All the staff were lovely. Since we had our dog with us and the breakfast room was very small, we had to carry trays up to our room or out to the terrace. It was a little tricky, but I completely understand. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

You can’t beat the location. We walked easily to nearby restaurants, shops, and the thermal baths. Breakfast was outstanding, and a special thanks to Patricia at the front desk for being so welcoming. The basket for visiting the spa was very handy. Our comfortable, roomy family room gave the four of us, who were traveling separately, a place to get together, though we found the hotel gardens worked even better. The carpet needs updating. The hotel is very clean and has a cool 80s vibe. I was told it would be renovated soon. All in all, a great stay.
