I booked the apartment with my dog, and Booking.com sent confirmation stating that the dog was allowed. That evening, the landlady called and gave me a real dressing-down, accusing me of trying to trick her. She insisted dogs weren’t allowed and said the confirmation couldn’t say otherwise. Her husband also said my request was strange. The landlords were incredibly rude and unprofessional from the start. I forwarded the matter to Booking.com, Baiersbronn Tourism, and Schwarzwaldplus. Customers shouldn’t be treated like that, and I’d avoid landlords who behave this way. I’m attaching the conversation and the Booking.com confirmation showing the dog was included 😅. I canceled and found another apartment with incredibly nice landlords.

We were warmly welcomed with our 7-year-old daughter and dog, and felt very comfortable. The Wiedenberg vacation apartment is cozy, very clean, and has everything you need. Mr. Frey and his wife were genuinely nice and gave us ideas for things to do in Baiersbronn and nearby. We’d happily return.

This was our second stay, and we highly recommend the place for families with three small children. It’s easygoing and nicely furnished, with lovely hiking trails within walking distance that you can even manage with a stroller.

On the day we moved out, the owner started yelling at us and challenging us. I wouldn’t recommend renting an apartment there.

We slept wonderfully, thanks in part to beds that were just right, neither too hard nor too soft. Freyenhöfe is peaceful, with hiking trails starting right outside and a lovely view from the backyard. The house was tidy and very clean, and the owners were friendly and helpful. We’d be glad to return.
