Hotel Bareiss

We stayed in the family and friends suite, and it was spectacular. The hotel combines high-end rooms with a very good spa and fitness area, while every person and department seems focused on top-level service. Even the regular meals are at a high standard, but book dinner at the gourmet restaurant for a three Michelin star meal with excellent service. An amazing luxury hotel for food.

We come back three or four times a year with our kids, and the hotel keeps exceeding expectations. If you can afford it, I'd say go. It feels about as close to perfect as a hotel can get. The stay works beautifully for a family trip, a romantic break, or a food-focused getaway. There's a spa, indoor and outdoor pools, and access to scenic walking trails. The holiday decorations are especially lovely in winter, with lights, wreaths, and festive trees along the corridors. Rooms are cozy and elegant, blending traditional style with modern comfort, and are kept immaculate. Food is a big part of the experience. Half-board brings a generous, beautifully presented breakfast and an exquisite dinner every evening. We like to start with a drink at the bar, and the three-star Michelin restaurant is a must for a special meal. We had the lunch menu and were blown away. Skip breakfast that day so you can enjoy every course. Bareiss is a beautiful, serene place in the Black Forest, and easy to find. The family-owned hotel has a timeless feel and has kept its hospitality going across generations. From booking through arrival, we felt valued. The staff are passionate, well trained, and attentive in a way that feels personal as well as professional.

We spent a week here and loved every moment. It has a wonderful setting for walks, hikes, and tours, though once you're there you might not want to leave. One of a kind for luxury, outstanding food, and hospitality.

The rooms were cozy and refined, balancing traditional charm with practical luxury. With access to scenic trails and a large indoor and outdoor pool, there was plenty to enjoy. Service was warm, attentive, and impeccable. Our half-board stay included breakfast and dinner, both consistently delicious, and the breakfast spread was especially impressive. We enjoyed a drink at the bar before dinner. The highlight was the three-star Michelin restaurant: we chose the lunch menu and thought it was phenomenal. I'd skip breakfast that day to make room for every course. A great choice for beautiful surroundings, outstanding dining, and excellent service. We can't wait to return.
