Hotel Sonne

The hotel is right in the heart of town, with everything within walking distance. The rooms were beautiful, air conditioned, and very clean, and the breakfast buffet was amazing. There’s also a garage with puffins for electric cars. It’s a bit hard to get there in a larger vehicle, but once parked, you don’t need to move the car until you leave. The staff were very attentive whenever we needed anything.

We’ve just had a fantastic two-night stay at Hotel Zur Alten Brücke and are already planning to come back. The room was just right for us, with a very comfortable bed where we slept like logs both nights. It was easy and relaxing to spend time there, the Wi-Fi worked well throughout, and housekeeping left everything spotless and organized each day. The personal touches and the people made the stay. Our names were on a cute little blackboard at our breakfast table the whole time, which felt thoughtful and caring. The whole customer service team was super friendly, and we were delighted to meet the owners. The wife was chatty and made us feel at home, while the husband was helping at the cashier. From the moment we checked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. It’s a true gem, and I’d highly recommend it.

The location was perfect, right in the middle of the Christmas markets, and it was so handy to pop inside to warm up or freshen up before heading out again. Staying here put us right in the heart of Rothenburg ob der Tauber and made the whole visit better. Isabella and Lars were wonderful hosts. We felt welcome and looked after from the moment we arrived, and their recommendations were spot on, often better than what we’d asked for. They made sure we had what we needed. The hotel is a charming little boutique place, quaint, romantic, and full of character that fits the magic of Rothenburg. At breakfast, we found a personalized name placard waiting for us, such a sweet detail that made us feel valued. We couldn’t recommend it more.

The location is central, the hotel is clean and well kept, and the host and staff are friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was fantastic. Thanks for a pleasant stay, I’d love to come back.
