We only went to the restaurant, not the hotel, and had one of the best meals I've ever had. It was packed on a Monday. The meat was delicious, the fries really crispy, and everything was well seasoned and served in generous portions. Excellent service. I'd come back to the region just to eat here.

The atmosphere really made the meal, elegant but still relaxed, and it would suit either a romantic dinner or a family get-together. Everything from the starters to the main course tasted great, especially the steaks.

We had a great dinner, and the staff were friendly. We hadn't booked, but they fit us in as long as we finished before the next guests arrived. A lot of restaurants wouldn't have gone to that trouble.

The service was great, and the food was very good for a surprisingly reasonable price. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone who loves steak.

Book ahead, since it seems worth getting a table. The welcome was warm and cosy, and the burgers and steaks were incredibly tasty.
