Landhaus Schwaben

The rooms were beautifully furnished, each with a small terrace, and we really enjoyed our short break. Breakfast was plentiful and excellent, we certainly ate our fill. We appreciated the information about excursions too. Many thanks for a lovely stay. Best wishes from Heidelberg

Breakfast was fantastic, with plenty of freshly prepared food and a different fruit salad every morning. There was a surprise each day too. The host also gave us lots of useful ideas for excursions and hikes, and was very attentive. Everything matched the description, and some things were even better than we expected. We were the first guests after the COVID-19 lockdown and had the whole guesthouse to ourselves. Despite the COVID-19 restrictions, it was a wonderful vacation. The hosts were so friendly and kind. The area is great for hiking in the Northern Black Forest, and so is the "Landhaus Schwaben." We'll definitely be back. 👍😀

The rooms were clean and pleasant, and the bathroom was very large, but we didn't enjoy our stay over New Year's 2019/20. Getting to the guesthouse entrance meant climbing 45 steps, something the description never mentioned. We also didn't expect the host to keep book storage in our room, as that wasn't in the terms and conditions. The welcome felt poor: the host seemed mainly focused on collecting the bill and what we thought was an exorbitant tourist tax. We paid a lot and got no service, and there was nothing going on. We also had to lock the entrance door twice to protect old books from theft. There were no parking instructions, signs or road markings, yet we were reprimanded for not parking the way the "host" wanted. Breakfast was plentiful, but we only got eggs once during our stay. To us, eggs are part of good service at a good guesthouse, even if that doesn't need to be spelled out in the terms and conditions. Read the comment from the supposed host. It shows how rude and malicious this man is. And to be clear, I'm not W.R. from N. I wrote this comment under my own name. This so-called supervisor can read the terms and conditions, but not the registration form!

The owner is really friendly and gave us useful ideas for places to visit and things to do. It's a nice place to stay, with a standard breakfast. Just watch out for the many speed cameras around here. You'll be seeing 30 km/h signs constantly.
