Even after I told them I was on my way, I arrived five minutes after the call to locked doors, and nobody answered the hotel entrance bell. Calling had been difficult too: the woman on the phone spoke very little German, as far as I could tell, and was hard to understand. Find another hotel. There are alternatives!

The food is great, but the service is only moderately friendly. The rooms are okay, though carpeting feels rather unhygienic to me. After breakfast, I came back to find the toilet brush left on the sink following room cleaning. I also found it odd that the staff in the breakfast room were eating breakfast too.

Parking is very limited because of the central location, especially if you’re staying longer. Still, I highly recommend the hotel for its friendly staff and convenient on-site meals, including breakfast and dinner. It’s very nice and clean, the exterior fits beautifully into the cityscape, and I particularly enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant and its regional cuisine.
