The owners are so kind, and breakfast is beautiful. We chose a cheaper room, which meant the toilet and shower were outside it. That was less comfortable, but it cost less, and everything was clean and worked as it should. Our room was a little cold, though that's normal for right now with the high gas price. The hotel is near the park, so you can enjoy walking, but it's not close to the center. I think it's best for summer and for people who like to walk a lot.

I spent a long stay here with colleagues from 2002 to 2003, and it was one of the greatest experiences of my life. The staff were extremely friendly, the food was great, and the Buger Hof is only minutes from central Bamberg. There are lovely walking areas around the inn too. I'd definitely recommend it if you're after a traditional German guesthouse in a quiet, quaint setting.
The area around the hotel was quiet and cosy, and the room was clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and both breakfast and dinner were VERY tasty, especially the schnitzel. I stayed for one night and can totally recommend it. The city centre is also just 10 minutes away by bike! 👍👍👍
The rooms are pretty basic, and the toilets are in the corridor. Still, we felt welcome and had a really nice overnight stop at this charming place, set in beautiful nature and just a short drive from the highway from the south of Europe to Denmark. The atmosphere feels very personal, and a very kind lady seemed to run most of it. She welcomed us when we arrived, then served our delicious dinner and breakfast. We spent the evening in the cosy dining area, first having a delicious meal that wasn't very costly, then playing a boardgame. We could see other guests doing that in the dining area too.
The owner was extremely pleasant to talk to and generous with the portions. We stopped in for refreshments while touring the city. The building is quaint and old-fashioned, with a condensed menu, and sits in a quiet residential area near the botanical gardens and the arena. If I'm in the area again, I'm planning to stay overnight here.
