The couple running this charming little hotel were so sweet, and the rooms were wonderful, very clean and well cared for. Ours had a small balcony for sitting with a hot drink, and we could see the castle from there and from the hotel steps. Breakfast was lovely, with eggs made to order, and the service was outstanding. We heard some noise from guests at the neighboring hotel, but it settled down at a reasonable hour and our hotel itself was quiet. A heads-up if you’re coming to Cochem: it’s a vineyard town, and many places to stay, including this one, are up a steep hill. During the busiest hours, you can’t drive straight to the hotel, though there’s a way around the back to park. Parking costs per day, but your spot is reserved. It’s above the hotel, so carrying suitcases means dealing with steep stairs. We’d have been better off carrying a small bag with valuables. Even so, we were very impressed and would stay again.

The beds were roomy and comfortable, and the staff were friendly. We also enjoyed the clean rooms and tasty breakfast. It was a convenient base for exploring Cochem, and we had a great stay.

Breakfast was the highlight for me, especially the delicious homemade rolls. Hotel Tummelchen in Cochem was a comfortable place to stay, with spotless rooms and bathrooms. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I had an exceptional experience and would recommend it to visitors.

Monika and Rainer made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived, and the rooms were immaculately clean. Their own bread was part of a superb breakfast. The location works well, though a hill is part of staying in Cochem, and the parking is a little farther up. I can’t recommend Villa Tumelchen highly enough.

The river and vineyard views from our room were incredible, and we felt we got the best room. It was quiet, the beds were good, and breakfast was great, with fresh eggs made for us. When my husband hurt his foot in Cohem, the staff went out of their way to help. Thanks for a lovely stay.
