Pension Moselvilla 1900

We had a lovely time and would definitely stay again if we're in Cochem. The location worked well, just a short walk into the center, and the building and its decor are beautiful. We liked our room and bathroom, and breakfast had a huge range of things to choose from. There's also an honesty bar and a nice terrace overlooking the river. The place is family run, and everyone was friendly and helpful. The language difference made a few things interesting, but it all worked out well. There was some confusion about parking at first, but they sorted it out quickly. There are 12 spaces, nine free and three that can be reserved for 8 euros a day. We reserved a space for three of our eight nights. On one of the other nights, we had to use a nearby paid car park, which cost less than 4 euros from overnight until mid-morning.

Such a cute, freshly renovated-looking building, with just a handful of rooms spread over a few floors. Staff were really kind and helpful, even using phone apps to translate between German and English. Parking was easy, and drinks were available around the clock, which was handy with shops closing early. It's a short walk to town and the castle. We woke up to a cool breeze and a delicious breakfast. I'd come back!

The family who hosted us made the whole stay special. We had asked about Turkish tea, and the host's mother brought some just for us. She was beaming that we were interested in their culture, and the whole family was a pleasure to spend time with. The pension has a welcoming feel where you can chat with other guests and swap stories or make friends, though it's also easy to keep to yourself if you prefer quiet. Our room was small but very nice and spotlessly clean, with a huge bathroom. The house itself is charming and beautiful, recently renovated, and has great amenities. Breakfast was another highlight. It was also good value, around the average price, and I'd return in a heartbeat. The location is within walking distance of nearly everything in Cochem, but away from the busiest tourist center. Parking right by the house was convenient, and across the road there's a grassy patch by the river, great for an evening stroll or a sunny lunch picnic.

We absolutely loved our stay. The people running this cute, clean hotel couldn't have been kinder, and it's in a good location. Really, really nice. I'd recommend it to anyone.
