Pension Lange

The rooms are big, the location is ideal, and there’s a nice parking space nearby. Service was great too. I’d definitely recommend it.

Thank you for the kind hospitality and comfortable stay you gave us in Cochem.

Really great!

The one good thing was that we only had to stay for a single night. We had booked and paid for a two-bedroom suite for me and my adult daughter, expecting both rooms to be ready. Instead, only the double bed in one room was made up. The twin room had no pillowcases or duvet covers, and there were no spare ones for us to use. When I raised it, the host told me to take bedding from the double bed and use it on one of the single beds. We could hear both neighboring rooms at night, so the advertised soundproofing did not match our experience. The place smelled strongly of smoke, which was unpleasant for us as non-smokers. The shower drained very slowly, and its drain was blocked with hair from previous guests. We had checked about towels before arriving, but were given just one face towel to share, with none in the hallway as promised. The parking was about 200 meters up the road, a difficult walk with luggage and impractical in rainy weather. Our suite was up five flights of stairs, with no lift. That had not been mentioned beforehand and would be inaccessible for anyone who isn't very fit, especially with bags. Breakfast was basic. Although we ordered in advance as requested, we didn't get what we had chosen. There was no hot milk, marmalade, hot chocolate, or eggs. Afterward, the property told Booking.com that we hadn't stayed, which meant I couldn't leave a review. I wonder how often that has happened. This was meant to be a special stay in memory of my late mum, so I was extremely disappointed.
