The rooms were simply furnished, tidy, and clean. Ours didn’t have a kettle or coffee maker, and there were no shampoo or soap supplies, so bring those along. Breakfast had a good selection of cheeses, meats, eggs, some fruit and vegetables, and sweet spreads. What made the place especially charming for us was the more intimate, cosy feel of a Pension Haus compared with a hotel. Our hostess Frau Pellny was kind, cheerful, always busy, and happy to answer our questions. Our German isn’t great, but Frau Pellny even speaks Dutch! We’re very happy with our stay and grateful to everyone at Haus Andreas for making our trip memorable.
The breakfast was really, really good, and the place is very close to the castle. The rooms are neat, though the bathroom is tiny, and the Wi-Fi connection in the room is poor. Parking is difficult on the narrow street, so you have to park elsewhere and walk. That’s hard with a stroller and bags or suitcases. It might suit people without children, or with children over four, but I wouldn’t stay here with a small child.
We felt right at home at this lovely pension in the heart of Cochem. Our little boy was delighted to find chocolate left on the table for him every morning by Ms Pellny. The breakfast was a lovely surprise, and we were very comfortable and warmly welcomed. We loved our short stay and would recommend it to anyone wanting a home from home in Cochem.
The breakfast buffet was perfect, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. We got such a warm, friendly welcome at Pension Haus Andreas B&B. We give it five stars and highly recommend a stay. Thank you, and Dankeschön. We’ll be back. 😊
Breakfast was good, and the location was central, but the room was awful: small, under the roof, and not as described. The property wasn’t even at the advertised adres. There was no fan or ventilation, and although the bed was an okay size, the mattresses were far too soft. The internet had a horrible authentication process and only worked for one person for 24 hours, so a second person had to pay an extra 2€. Parking was also charged at 4€ per day, even though it had been advertised as free. Access is very steep, so anyone with a disability should avoid this place.
