Weinburg -Das Ferienhaus

The apartment was as described, comfortable, and well equipped with what we needed. The beds were comfortable too, and the garden had a nice view of the castle. The owner was friendly and very helpful. This was one of my better stays. One surprise from the booking photos was the house's setting between two small roads. There isn't traffic, but the place feels more rural in person than it does on site. It's still an amazing location, though someone expecting a house out in the countryside might be a little disappointed. My wife and I like to cook, and the kitchen had what we needed for a simple meal, but there was no fan above the stove. After cooking one meal, the apartment smelled of browned butter, and even with all the windows open we couldn't clear it. We learned our lesson and ate at nearby restaurants for the next few days, using the kitchen just for breakfast.

The apartments are refined and have lots of amenities, and the location near the castle is nice. The place is really quiet. The main drawback is the steep uphill approach, which makes it hard to reach by car and difficult to park on the incline. Families with babies should keep that in mind. Even a simple walk into the village takes some care, since strollers have to be carried down and back up.

We enjoyed the view and found the terrace a relaxing place to rest our legs after hiking around the village. The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, and it was close to the castle. Guest parking was a plus.

The outdoor area was lovely for getting together with a small group of friends, and our room had a gorgeous castle view. The accommodations were clean and beautiful, and Salinas was very helpful.
