We stayed in a lovely two-floor suite with heated bathroom floors, a private elevator, and a great view. The employees were friendly. It was our first time in Bamberg, Germany, and we visited Jan 16-17 2026.

The hotel is right on the water and in a really convenient spot for sights and restaurants. The rooms were pleasant, and the attached restaurant was great. I had a really nice stay, would easily recommend it, and would come back in a heartbeat.

The rooms are large, with hot showers and comfortable beds, and some have river views. We enjoyed just relaxing in our room. The hotel is in a spectacular central spot in the old city, beside an iconic Bamberg brewery and beer hall, with several restaurants nearby and a scenic restaurant attached. Taxis can get there easily, and the entrance and lobby looked very elegant.

The best part of our cozy, well-equipped room was hearing the river rush below. The staff were accommodating from the first interaction and clearly care about their work. Hotel Nepomuk is a gem, and Bamberg was fantastic too. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat, though I regret not trying the restaurant or staying longer.
