Everything matched the description, and picking up the key was no trouble. A wonderful apartment in a great spot for spending a few days exploring Bamberg city. I highly recommend it!

The central location is a plus, with everything you need nearby, but room 6 is absolutely not recommended. It’s extremely small, with nowhere to put luggage, no closet, and no storage. You’re stuck living out of a bag that has to sit on the bed, since there’s barely room to bend down beside it. The bathroom is tiny, the rugs are disgusting, the towels are flat and rock-hard, practically the opposite of terry cloth, and the cleanliness is poor. I’ve never experienced anything like it. There are no drinks at the hotel, so bring your own drinking water. I’d be very cautious about Legionella bacteria when showering, since all the technology seems questionable. I definitely won’t return, even though the price was low.

I was traveling without a plan, just wandering around, and they let me stay without a reservation at a reasonable price. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the building was clean inside and out. Its window looked onto a quiet medieval residential area packed closely with buildings. The owner runs an Indian restaurant on the first floor, but the lodging itself was very quiet and satisfying. I found something flea-like in my bed, and they moved me to a better room. Since many buildings in this medieval town are 200-300 years old, bugs are common. I checked and didn’t find any dangerous ones, so I booked a two-night, three-day stay.

You can hear everything going on in the house. Anyone who manages to sleep through that must be completely sound-headed.
