We got a very warm welcome, and the ESTEL family's apartment has everything you could need. It has its own entrance and parking on the property. When the weather is nice, you can sit out on the terrace or have a barbecue. Hiking trails are easy to get to from here. We’d happily recommend it.

The bed was a highlight, a 200x200 cm double with wonderfully soft, cozy linens and an extra-soft fitted sheet. I ordered the same kind as soon as we got home! The apartment is small but comfortable, modern, and timeless, with its own entrance. The bathroom has underfloor heating, and the other rooms have adjustable wall radiators. There are exterior roller shutters, except for the bathroom, which has a blind, and the kitchenette has plenty of utensils. It’s in central Bärenstein, with hiking trails just around the corner and shops, a bakery, and a butcher nearby. Annaberg-Buchholz has a bigger range of shops. Gasthof Zur Fichte and Gasthof zur Waldesruh are about 300 m and 400 m away, respectively. We preferred the Waldesruh apartment, which had more options. We felt right at home and would recommend the place without hesitation. Thanks again for a lovely holiday.

The owner was friendly and happy to share a lot about the region and life in former East Germany. The apartment is in a great spot for exploring the area, and the setting is quiet with a beautiful open view. Highly recommended.
