Zum Landkrog

I've never had a steak this good. It was cooked just right, which I don't say often, and honestly blew me away. A big compliment to the chef. Steak lovers will find some of the best in the region here, truly first-class.

The garden at Steakhouse Zum Landkrog is lovely, and the drive from Elmshorn was definitely worth it. We found the place through a newspaper ad, and I'm glad we went. The four of us paid €73.40 for the meal, plus tip, and I rarely give a restaurant five stars, but this one earned them. We'll be back soon. I went for the steak and grilled vegetables at €15.90 instead of ordering my usual filet mignon straight away. I got two small steaks with a delicious roasted flavor. They were a little past medium-rare, but tender as filet and nicely seasoned. The vegetables, broccoli, mushrooms, bell peppers, zucchini, and halved potatoes with their skins on, were well seasoned with a subtle hint of garlic. Garlic toast came with it too, crisp on top and soft underneath, and I really enjoyed it. There was herb butter as well. My wife and our two adult children ordered schnitzel with fries, creamed mushrooms, side salad, and extra garlic toast. The menu said pork schnitzel, but when we asked, they made turkey schnitzel for us. It came with delicious fries, the best I've ever had, and creamy mushrooms on top that my wife and older children loved. The side salad was generous, with colorful greens including arugula and a tasty, light mustard dressing. The food here is delicious, and I can wholeheartedly recommend the restaurant.

A complete disaster. The place is filthy and gloomy, like something from the Middle Ages. There's no restaurant, unless there might have been one back in Wilhelm II's time. I'd rather sleep in a car than in this “hotel.” I don't recommend it.

The staff are really friendly, the food is excellent, and the prices are great for what you get. We'll definitely come back. Keep it up!
