Hotel Ritter Jörg

The rooms were spotless, and we really liked the restaurant. It's a beautiful hotel, with helpful, friendly staff.

Sommerhausen is so beautifully preserved that even the toughest critic should enjoy it. A walk through the village is a treat, especially for gardeners. The little allotments are wonderfully cared for, and they're a sight for those of us without much gardening skill. The hotel itself is welcoming, clean and comfortable. We stayed last year on our way from Rotterdam to Italy, but missed out because the Italian restaurant was closed. This year we planned around its opening, and were glad we did. We think the Italian cooking is some of the best you'll find anywhere. The village deserves more than an overnight stop. We'll certainly return.

Such a distinctive hotel, in an incredible location, with lovely staff. We would definitely come back. There was no elevator, but since it's only two floors, managing the stairs was fine.

We slept well in a very quiet spot in the town centre, and the hotel stored our bikes easily in its garage. The staff were all pleasant and friendly. Our room was spacious, comfortable and exceptionally clean, with a balcony and seating. The bathroom was roomy too and had good amenities. We enjoyed a delicious dinner at the restaurant, and breakfast was rich and plentiful. Good value for a stay at Ritter Jorg. We'll definitely return!
