I'm disabled, and we really appreciated being given a ground-floor room. The bed was comfortable, the room was warm, and the bathroom was spacious enough and equipped for disabled guests. The hotel was very clean, and the staff were nice. One thing needs attention: the shower seat feels unstable, especially when wet. I'd suggest the owners replace it.

The rooms were modern and very clean, and the staff were super sweet, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great too. The old city, dating back to the 1600s, is a beautiful walk away. Definitely recommend! Five stars from the McFadden family.

The room was nice, but the coffee situation left me mad. As we were leaving Hotel Sonnengarten, I asked for a takeaway coffee with milk. The woman at breakfast service had just given another man a takeaway coffee for free. I took our two coffees outside to the car, and the woman from reception ran after me to say I had to pay for ours because they had milk. When I pointed out that the other man got his free, they said his was filter coffee. The breakfast staff hadn't explained that, and there were no signs saying coffee with milk to go cost extra. I was unhappy with the answers. Because the service was so unfriendly, I can only give three stars. I won't come back.

I'm here now and will probably stay another week. It's a very good place: friendly staff, a nice breakfast and clean rooms. The cleaning lady is doing a great job. I'd definitely recommend it.

Sommerhausen is peaceful, and the hotel is nice and cosy. The staff were friendly and very helpful, including with suggestions about the area. Breakfast was delicious, and the rooms were well equipped and very, very clean.
