The room problems took over our wedding weekend. After driving nine hours, we found our room dirty and already used. It took more than 30 minutes to reach anyone by phone, and then we were given a code for a room. Two more rooms were dirty before we were moved again, this time into a room we hadn't booked. Our friends had a dirty room too, and were told to find somewhere else to stay. With so little communication, we couldn't stay together and spent time sorting out the mess instead of enjoying the wedding. We missed important parts of the ceremony and celebrations. The location is lovely, but the management was a letdown. We paid €298 for two nights, and breakfast at €19+ per person was poor value. The bed needs replacing, and there was only one pillow. I still haven't had a reply to my email. I wouldn't stay here or recommend it.

We spent two weeks here and had such a lovely stay. The owners were incredibly accommodating and among the friendliest people, and the service was terrific. Our room was comfortable and charmingly decorated, and breakfast was fabulous. We have so many good things to say. We'll be back.

We found lots of lovely spots to sit and enjoy Sommerhausen's relaxed, one of a kind atmosphere. The breakfast was excellent, and the service was so friendly. This is a charming, unique little boutique hotel, full of thoughtful touches. We'll be back soon!
