We stayed here in early September 2019 while cycling the Lake Constance-Lake Königssee route. The sisters who run the youth hostel were so friendly and accommodating. When we arrived in continuous rain with lots of wet gear, including a child trailer, they let us use their boiler room to dry everything. We practically filled the room, and they didn’t mind at all. It was a huge help. The old building was clean and well looked after. Our group of seven had an 8-bed room. It wasn’t very big, but it was clean and practical, with a sweet treat waiting for us. There’s also a big common room for meals or games, with board games available. Breakfast was good and plentiful. If we’re in the pretty town of Benediktbeuern again, I’d definitely stay here.

My daughter went with her class and loved it. They even arranged gluten-free meals for us. Everything was great, and we’d love to go back. Thank you!

The location is beautiful and the team is great. Sadly, the hostel is closing on September 30, 2021.
