We really liked the half-board option: a salad buffet followed by more courses, with lovely food, sensible portions, healthy choices, lots of vegetables, and plenty of lactose-free and gluten-free options. Breakfast also had a huge selection. The spa was lovely, with several small saunas at different temperatures, and the hotel runs daily activities like qi gong and sauna infusion. Hans led fantastic infusions, and they were very hot! Our room had a balcony where we could open the windows for cool air. It's a really nice spa hotel right in town, about a 15-minute uphill walk from the train station, or one bus stop away, with the stop opposite the hotel. We'd definitely return.

From the rooftop, be sure to take in the view. The hotel has a well-equipped gym and spa, five really good restaurants, and a standout buffet breakfast. It's modern and comfortable, with tasteful southern German decor, in the equally lovely little mountain village of Berchtesgaden.

Lucas and Martina were great, and the staff overall were friendly and spoke excellent English. The location is fantastic, parking is easy, the internet is fast, and there's a fridge in the room. Add a comfortable bed and an amazing breakfast, and it's an easy place to recommend if you can stay here. It's international-friendly.

The lobby was a lovely place to sit, with plenty of comfortable chairs and sofas for a drink or a card game. Our room was modern, spacious, and beautiful, and the staff were friendly, capable, and always said hello. Breakfast had a huge range of delicious options. The gym, though, was a real letdown: tiny and short on equipment. Still, this is one of the best hotels in Bavaria, so don't be put off by the four stars. I'd definitely recommend staying here.
