The decor is lovely and suits the area, and the kitchen is fully equipped. It was spotlessly clean and pleasantly quiet, with a view over the brine path, and we felt at home. Check-in and check-out went very smoothly, thanks to great communication with the local property manager. A really cozy holiday apartment with a high feel-good factor.

We wouldn’t recommend this apartment. We booked it because family members were staying in the same building; their smaller apartment had a bigger balcony and cost much less, €70 a night including tourist tax for two adults. Ours was €110 a night plus portal and manager fees, €133 total, though a folder inside said the family usually rents it directly for €95 with no extra charges. Tourist tax of €2.60 per person per day was also due on site. For us, the price felt too high for what we got. The apartment is central, on the second floor with no elevator, close to shops and restaurants. It has a spacious living and dining area, a semi-open kitchen with no natural light, two bedrooms, a large entry hall, a bathroom with a bathtub and toilet, and a separate toilet with shower. One bedroom has a 1 m² balcony, but there’s no Watzmann mountain view or lighting. The hallway floor is higher than the bedroom floors, creating trip hazards between rooms. There’s extensive equipment, including dishes, dishwasher, coffee maker, microwave, kitchen scissors, washing machine, ironing board, and clothes rack. It was clean apart from dust under the furniture. There’s a small garage space for €6 a day, unsuitable for station wagons. We declined it and parked in different places around the building, then later realized we’d already paid for the garage when booking. After we complained, the money was refunded through PayPal. The biggest problem came when we pulled down the shower curtain in the bathtub bathroom. A metal cassette in the ceiling came crashing down, and we managed to catch it quickly. It had been fixed to the plaster ceiling with four ordinary plastic wall plugs in two different sizes. We thought the mounting was poorly done for that type of ceiling, and that the plugs and screws weren’t long enough. After we reported the damage, an invoice for a flat €150 arrived by email, without the landlord inspecting it. The charge seemed too high to us, given the inadequate mounting. When we asked about it, we were immediately threatened with legal action if we didn’t pay, and told the landlord was a judge. We felt pressured to agree, although we still believe the damage happened because the cassette wasn’t secured properly. We’d suggest Apartment Müller II in the same building instead.
