a&o Berlin Hauptbahnhof

The shared kitchen was clean, though really small, with just four chairs for people to eat. An extra room next to it where guests could sit might work well. The staff were very nice, and my room was clean too. I had a really great stay at this A&O and would recommend it.

We felt very comfortable here as a family with children. The rooms were comfortable, breakfast was tasty with plenty of choice, and it was nice to see that children had been considered throughout the hotel. The staff were attentive, especially Mr. Berk, who was always ready to help. The location was excellent, and we’d definitely stay here again if we’re back in the area. Highly recommend it.

The hotel is good value for the area, with affordable rates, reasonably roomy rooms, a practical layout, and the basics needed for a comfortable stay. Check-in and checkout were easy, and the staff were generally helpful when we needed something. It’s handy for getting around, close to the central station and a bus stop, with Vabali, a park, and supermarkets within walking distance. A couple of things need attention: the towels smelled old and didn’t feel clean, and some fixtures look worn. The door knobs on the way to the elevators, for example, seemed loose.

I had to get some work done, and the lobby tables were useful. It was nice being able to work while still hanging out in the relaxed atmosphere. The hostel/hotel is well located, the structure is pretty good, and all the employees were super nice. My room was clean, and having a bathroom in the girls’ shared room was great. The only thing I’d improve is the linens, which were a little dirty.
