Berlinapartments-Downtown

SCAM ALERT. I booked this place months ahead, but when we arrived the pin code wouldn't work. I called, and the woman said someone would come. We waited, then a rude man showed up. He said the apartment wasn't available, maybe because they'd double booked, and told us to wait while she arranged another one. He made it sound like she had other properties and said they'd cover the difference if the replacement cost more. He sent us to a restaurant on the corner, saying they'd pay while we waited for a call, but no restaurant with that name existed. Back at the apartment, I asked a nearby business owner to call the woman because my calls went to voicemail. She answered him and said she was finding us a place. We waited for her call, text, or email, but nothing came. The business owner reached her again after she ignored me. She claimed she'd tried to call and booked us somewhere, then told us to call booking.com for the details. They said they would send information so I could rebook myself, which takes 45 minutes, but she hadn't booked anything. We had to make our own booking and found another apartment after four hours. With our suitcases and waiting for her response, we lost half a day and couldn't do anything. Then I had to call booking.com to get a refund. I'd noticed other people had the same problem. The owner handled the whole thing badly, wasted our time, and made no effort to sort it out or contact us. I wouldn't reserve here. Do not stay here.
