The hospital right beside the apartment meant loud sirens at all hours, which made the location less than ideal. It’s about a six-minute walk to a U-BAHN station, though that’s true of most places in Berlin. Inside, it was cozy without feeling cramped, with a huge bed and a small but well-equipped kitchen. Just be aware there’s only room for one person in the kitchen at a time. The little balcony was nice too.

The service was good for what we paid.

Our last booking experience was really unpleasant. We’d booked three nights through a booking site, then a work change meant we needed to cancel one night. We thought five days’ notice would be enough, but Mr. A., the owner, refused our request, which felt unfair. They were incredibly inflexible. I suggested a few ways to sort it out and got nowhere. It felt like the fees mattered more than having a happy guest. Check carefully how cancellations are handled before booking, because I didn’t feel we were treated fairly or decently. I also want people to know the owner may try to bury comments like this. Shouldn’t this be public? My comment was reported several times, which felt like an attempt to restrict freedom of speech. I won’t give up commenting until everyone knows.

It was clean, pleasant, and equipped with everything a traveler might need. The U6 SwartzkopfStraße metro is about five minutes away. They don’t clean the apartment during your stay, only after you leave.
