enjoy hostel Berlin City West

The rooms are fine for the low prices, and getting to the center by metro or bus was easy. There are also a few spätis and other shops nearby. The downside is having to share the bathroom, and the shared bathrooms were often out of toilet paper.

When I came back for my luggage, everything was gone except one piece of clothing. The bags my belongings had been stored in had disappeared too. I had to wait three months before I could return from abroad, due to unavoidable reasons, and came as soon as I could. I had a proper claim number from when I left my things, but they couldn't find anything tied to it. The staff were cold and dismissive, and even said losing my belongings was normal. Nobody apologized or tried to help, and there was no empathy at all. I've never had service this bad. This hotel is horrifying, with no sense of care or responsibility. I strongly warn people against trusting it with anything valuable.

The neighborhood wasn't very interesting, but the hostel itself impressed us and we'd come back. The price was very reasonable. Our rooms and showers were clean, the Wi-Fi was strong, and breakfast was exceptionally good. They even let us work remotely in the cute lobby for the day.

I suspect the hotel owner's mental condition may need medical or psychiatric attention. That could be the main reason for the state of things here. Until the hotel has a system for managing things, I’d call it dangerous to spend time there. It’s a social hotspot, and by its nature, the area isn’t easygoing.
