Flottwell Berlin Hotel & Residenz am Park

It felt overpriced at more than £100 a night. The rooms have kitchen equipment, but there’s no air conditioning, just ventilation, as staff confirmed. Even in October they got really hot. Opening the windows made it too noisy to sleep, and the smell of weed kept coming in. One pillowcase was mouldy. When I put it aside and asked for cleaning, the staff left it on the floor. They also took our cleaning cloth without replacing it, so we had no way to clean our dishes.

The staff even suggested a place where I could buy a replacement suitcase after mine broke. The location was good, and the automatic nighttime entry system was convenient. The hotel was very clean. Breakfast was €12, a reasonable price for bread, coffee, eggs, bacon, cheese, vegetables, fruit, yogurt, and more.

Spacious, well-equipped rooms and very comfortable beds. It’s a great place, with the center easy to reach on foot or by subway.

For our one-night weekend stay, this turned out to be a perfect choice. The location is a big plus, with several metro stations nearby. We drove and found street parking close by without trouble, despite the parking meters. The hotel was quiet and very clean, and both the room and bathroom were spotless. There was a small kitchenette in the room and a complimentary bottle of water waiting when we arrived. Reception was closed for the weekend, but the self-check-in machine worked flawlessly and had several language options. Highly recommended for a short stay.
